Privacy Policy
SoulMatch ("we", "us") provides personalized digital relationship assessments based on your birth date, your partner's birth date, and your honest answers. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.
Information we collect
We collect only what is needed to deliver the service:
- Identity and contact: name and email address
- Phone number: only if you choose to receive an SMS when your assessment is ready
- Profile: your birth date and gender
- Partner birth date you provide at signup (we do not collect the partner's name)
- Your answers to adaptive questions about you and your relationship
- A full relationship assessment we generate for you. With a promo code the full display is free. Without a code you see the opening only; unlocking the full display requires payment (about USD 33)
- Authentication data: magic-link tokens and session cookies
- Payment status and promo codes (via a payment processor; we do not store card numbers)
- Technical data: browser type, device type, and basic usage logs for security and reliability
Information we do not collect
We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or data brokers.
We do not send advertising by SMS. Phone numbers are used only for assessment-ready notices after opt-in.
How we use your information
We use your information to build your internal profile, generate your relationship assessment, send report links by email, send an SMS notifying you that the assessment is ready only after you gave a number and explicit consent, authenticate your account across devices, unlock full assessment report access when you pay or use a code, improve the product, and prevent fraud or abuse.
Your free-text answers help steer assessment angles internally. They are not quoted in the client-facing report.
AI-generated content
Reports are written using AI technology (Anthropic Claude). Your profile data and answers are sent to that service only to generate your assessment. We do not use your answers to train public AI models.
Confidentiality of your answers
Your answers are private. They are not shown to other users, are not published, and are not used for marketing profiles. Access is limited to automated systems needed to deliver your assessment and to authorized operational access for support and security.
Third-party service providers
We use trusted providers to operate SoulMatch. They process data only as needed to provide their service:
- Supabase — database and session storage
- Vercel — hosting and infrastructure
- Resend — transactional email (report delivery, magic links)
- Anthropic — AI assessment generation
- SMS4Free — SMS delivery in Israel when you opt in
- Telnyx — SMS delivery in the United States and other supported countries when you opt in
- A payment processor at checkout when you purchase (we do not store card numbers)
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar browser storage (such as localStorage) to run SoulMatch. Optional analytics and advertising cookies are used only if you accept them in the cookie notice shown at the bottom of the page.
Closing the notice with × or choosing Decline is treated as a rejection — we do not load Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or TikTok Pixel, and we do not store campaign attribution (UTM) for measurement. Accepting enables those tools only for that browser.
You can change your choice at any time by clearing site data for this domain in your browser settings and visiting again, or by contacting us.
- Essential (always on): sign-in session cookie (soulmatch_auth) and language preference (soulmatch_locale). Required to keep you signed in after a magic link and to show the site in your language. Disabling these in the browser may limit access to saved reports.
- Optional analytics (consent required): Google Analytics 4 — page views and funnel events; Meta Pixel — Facebook/Instagram ad measurement; TikTok Pixel — TikTok ad measurement. These providers may set their own cookies.
- Optional local storage (consent required): your analytics consent choice and first-touch UTM campaign data, used only to understand which campaigns lead users through the funnel.
Data retention
We retain your profile, answers, and reports while your account is active and as needed to deliver purchased access. Report links may expire after the access period stated at purchase. You may request deletion of your data (see Your rights).
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account and associated reports
- Export or receive a copy of your data
- Withdraw consent for optional marketing emails
- Withdraw consent for optional assessment-ready SMS (contact support)
- Withdraw consent for optional analytics cookies (clear site data in your browser or contact us)
Children
SoulMatch is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
International transfers
Your data may be processed in the United States, European Union, or other countries where our providers operate. We use providers with appropriate security and contractual safeguards.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
