Information we collect

We collect only what is needed to deliver the service:

• Identity and contact: name and email address
• Profile: birth date and gender
• Your answers to adaptive questions (Phase A and, if applicable, Phase B)
• Partner details you choose to add for a couple report: name and birth date
• Reports we generate for you (personal story, Partner Blueprint, couple report)
• Authentication data: magic-link tokens and session cookies
• Payment status and purchase tier (via our payment processor — we do not store card numbers)
• Technical data: browser type, device type, and basic usage logs for security and reliability

Information we do not collect

We do not ask for or store a phone number as part of the SoulMatch flow.

We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or data brokers.

How we use your information

We use your information to build your internal profile, generate your reports, send report links by email, authenticate your account across devices, process paid access when you purchase, improve the product, and prevent fraud or abuse.

Your free-text answers help steer report angles internally. They are not quoted in the client-facing story.

AI-generated content

Reports are written using AI technology (Anthropic Claude). Your profile data and answers are sent to that service only to generate your report. We do not use your answers to train public AI models.

Confidentiality of your answers

Your answers are private. They are not shown to other users, are not published, and are not used for marketing profiles. Access is limited to automated systems needed to deliver your report and to authorized operational access for support and security.

Third-party service providers

We use trusted providers to operate SoulMatch. They process data only as needed to provide their service:

• Supabase — database and session storage
• Vercel — hosting and infrastructure
• Resend — transactional email (report delivery, magic links)
• Anthropic — AI report generation
• Lemon Squeezy — payment processing (Merchant of Record for purchases)

Cookies and authentication

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in after magic-link authentication. You can control cookies in your browser settings; disabling them may limit access to your saved reports.

Data retention

We retain your profile, answers, and reports while your account is active and as needed to deliver purchased access. Report links may expire after the access period stated at purchase. You may request deletion of your data (see Your rights).

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and associated reports
• Export or receive a copy of your data
• Withdraw consent for optional marketing emails

Children

SoulMatch is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

International transfers

Your data may be processed in the United States, European Union, or other countries where our providers operate. We use providers with appropriate security and contractual safeguards.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
